GUIDED ROCK CLIMBING WITH ROCKY MOUNTAIN VENTURES

If you enjoy the mountains, don’t miss this exhilarating experience. Come experience rock climbing in a spectacular mountain setting. Rocky Mountain Ventures is the only permitted guided rock climbing outfitter in Steamboat.

They take all levels: beginner, intermediate, advanced; kids (ages 6+) and adults. All climbing equipment is provided as well as instruction and guiding. Trips can be recreational climbing or instructional clinics; whatever the client prefers. Lunch provided by Backcountry Provisions for full day trips only.

Intro To Rock Climbing

Learn the basics! Perfect for families and beginners. Learn knots, safety and climbing technique. Locations include Rabbit Ears Pass and Fish Creek Falls areas.

Half Day: 8am-12pm / 1pm-5pm

Intermediate Rock Climbing

Progress your climbing expertise! Perfect for the aspiring climber. Learn belaying, anchors and sport lead technique. Locations include Rabbit Ears Pass and Seedhouse Road areas.

Multi-Pitch Rock Climbing

Climb “The Needle” a 200ft granite pinnacle or “The Dome” a 450ft granite dome on this full day adventure! Learn traditional climbing technique.

Full Day: 8am-4pm – Lunch Included

Equipment: Harness, helmet, climbing shoes and backpacks are provided. Clients must dress appropriately for weather. Rain Jacket is Recommended. Closed toe shoes required (no sandals). Don’t forget your camera. Drinks and snacks available to purchase from our retail store before departing for a trip. Transportation provided.

Cancellation Policy: RMV must receive at least 48 hours notice for full refund. Less then 48 hours notice or no notice at all – we will charge the credit card for the total trip cost. Times may vary. RMV can provide transportation from our downtown location (kiosk on the corner of 5th and Lincoln, in front of Mahogany Ridge restaurant), or climbers can follow in their own vehicles.
